CANDLE CARE & INSTRUCTIONS

Our Candles are designed to create a relaxed, joyful, and sensual experience, but it's important to remember that candles involve fire, which can be dangerous if not handled carefully. To help you fully enjoy your experience safely, follow these guidelines from the first burn to the last flicker.
BEFORE BURNING

Before lighting your candle for the first time or after each burn, trim the wick to about 5 mm (¼ inch) or until any excess soot is removed from the previous burn. This will help prevent uneven burning, excessive dripping, or flaring, and will ensure a steady flame. It also enhances the scent throw by limiting sooting. Invest in a good wick trimmer for clean cuts, or you can pinch the excess wick off with your fingers.
Place your candle in a safe spot:
Keep it away from drafts, vents, or air currents to prevent uneven burning or dripping.
Never place a candle near flammable items such as curtains, bedding, papers, or furniture.
Keep candles out of reach of children, pets, or anywhere they might be accidentally knocked over.
WHILE BURNING

Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. Always extinguish it if you're leaving the room or going to bed.
Avoid touching or moving the candle while it's burning or when the wax is melted.
The first burn is essential to ensuring an even burn for the candle's entire life. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface, reaching about 0.5 cm from the edge of the vessel to set the "candle memory." To prevent tunneling, burn the candle for 2-4 hours at a time or until the wax pools close to the edge. As the wax will melt down more slowly with each burn, avoid burning for longer than 4 hours to preserve the fragrance and prevent wick mushrooming.
For safety, do not burn the candle to the very bottom. Stop when there's 10 mm or less of wax left, as the flame needs a base of wax to avoid overheating the glass container.
If burning multiple candles at once, space them at least three inches apart to prevent heat overlap or drafts.
A well-burning candle should have a steady, teardrop shaped flame. If it flickers or becomes too high, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight it.
To maximize the scent, burn the candle in a closed room for 30 minutes. Open doors or windows will dilute the fragrance and reduce its intensity.
